Super Sensitive
One of the major selling features of the predecessor A7S II was its supreme sensitivity and the A7S III continues the tradition, offering a standard ISO range of 80- to a whopping 102400.
This impressive number offers usable options for the videographer shooting handheld in low light and is one of the many reasons the S Series has such a purist fan base.
The Alpha 7S III has been built with an entirely new Exmor R image sensor expanded for a new stills and movie shooting experience.
The full-frame 12.1-megapixel back-illuminated CMOS image sensor delivers high sensitivity, low noise, a colour filter array that boosts colour reproduction accuracy, and an increased dynamic range for both stills and movies.
Stunning quality 4K video
The new image processing engine BIONZ XR is aimed at the future, augmenting the high sensitivity and wide dynamic range that have already become hallmarks of the “S” series.
Utilising this incredible processing ability allows for 10-bit 4:2:2 video recording at 4K resolution 120 frames/second and 240 frames/second in FHD, while taking full advantage of Sony’s autofocus and autoexposure.
The A7S III offers no recording time limits in all movie modes and improved heat dissipation allowing 4K60P video recording for over an hour until battery ends.
And a full spectrum of professional video features like 10-bit 4:2:2 colour sampling during internal video recording and the ability to simultaneously display stunning video across three displays.
