New Sensor and Processing Engine The Panasonic S5 II’s enhanced full-frame 24.2MP CMOS sensor includes a newly-developed Phase Hybrid AF system for Lumix-series cameras that delivers 779 phase-detection points for noticeably better subject tracking.

The sensor offers a practical ISO 100-51200 range that can be enlarged to ISO 50-204800 for working in a variety of lighting settings, balancing high sensitivity and a wide dynamic range.
The S5 II offers full-resolution shooting at up to 9 fps with the mechanical shutter and up to 30 fps with the electronic shutter, making it well-suited for action and quickly moving subjects.
Additionally, the Lumix S5 II makes use of sensor-shift stabilization technology and has a High-Resolution mode that allows users to record and combine eight consecutive exposures to produce a single 96MP raw or JPEG file.
This mode provides an image with a resolution of 12000 by 8000 pixels, making it ideal for static situations and when using a tripod.
